My little miracles, Craig and Jaylynn were born at only 30 weeks. Jaylynn spent 3 months in the NICU where we learned she has cerebral palsy because of a brain injury caused by birth. Craig spent 218 days living in 3 different NICU’s. He has severe cardiac and respiratory complications. At only 6 months old after being life-flighted to Primary Children’s Hospital he underwent open heart surgery to fix a hole in his heart that was making him very sick. Thankfully after he had recovered from the surgery he was able to finally come home to his family, but our medical journey was far from over.
At 6 years old Jaylynn is finally walking short distances and Craig is still on oxygen and a feeding tube. Every day they face health challenges that limit what they’re able to do, but it does not get them down! They constantly have huge smiles on their faces and are an inspiration to everyone they meet! They are the strongest people I know and will always be my heroes.
They have faced big battles in their lives, but still remain happy! A month after their 3rd birthday their daddy took his life. We met Mascot Miracles shortly after he passed away and being apart of this incredible foundation has been such a blessing in our lives! The events are always tons of fun and lift our spirits! My children love seeing their furry friends and look forward to spending time with them! They have become family to us and have helped us get through an extremely hard time in our lives.
We are so grateful for this organization and all the time they spend on our family and many other families like ours that deal with medical challenges daily. I could never thank Mascot Miracles Foundation enough for the joy they have brought into our lives!
